Ab45 allows CBD and other cannabis derivatives and extracts to be used as ingredients in food, dietary supplements, beverages, cosmetics, pet food and other consumer goods. The THC content of all cannabis ingredients and finished products must be less than 0.3%, which includes delta-9 THC and other cannabinoid variants such as delta-8 and delta-10 according to legislation. The act requires manufacturers of marijuana food and supplements to register with the State Department of public health and requires independent laboratory testing of purity and THC content.
